Model
BS604A Fiber Optic Joint Closure protects the fiber optic
splices from harsh external environment conditions. The Fiber
Optic Splices are enclosed in a ribbed polypropylene dome
construction that shows good mechanical characteristics as well
as high environmental protection features and thereby provides a
reliable and well proven sealing performance over time.
The Joint closure construction enables a fast and easy no-cost
re-entry. It can be installed on wires, in manholes, ducts as
well as mounted directly on poles. With its six entry ports, the
box can be mounted both as an in-line as well as a mid-span
branching joint closure.

Features

The body
consists of two parts, the Base or Cable Inlet and Ribbed Cover
Dome. The ribbed cover dome has an air valve for tightness test
and is sealed and clamped to the base with a gasket and band
clamp for maximum tightness.

The base has
6 inlet ports. The splice tray supporter is attached on the
opposite side of the cable inlet.
|
|
|
|
There are 4
entry / exit location on each splice tray. Both loose tube
and ribbon management is possible.

|
The OSP cable
clamping is done by using a tension member gripper for clamping
the cable’s central strength member to the box and a hot melt
type heat shrink tube that enables cable sheath sealing.
|

|
|
|
The LAP ground
connector and ground wire are offered for grounding of OSP
cables.

|
Hangers are
provided for various installation environments. |
